Kubah Birding Half Day Tour

Pick up time: 0600hrs / Duration: Approximate 5 hours

Pick up from City Hotel then proceed to Kubah National Park. The Park is situated on a sandstone plateau, mostly covered by mixed dipterocarp forest which interspersed with patches of scrub and unusually rich area of Kerangas forest, is the home of mammals, birds & many species of reptiles and amphibians. Upon arrival, aim to spot some endemic species like Blue-banded pitta, Bornean blue-flycatcher, Yellow-rumped flowerpecker, Bornean Black-magpie, Chestnut-crested yuhina, Dusky munia & etc. Meanwhile, aim to spot other resident birds like Red-bearded bee-eater, Raffles’s malkoha, Red-naped trogan, Diard’s trogon, Scarlet-rumped trogon, Rufous-collared kingfisher, Rufous-backed kingfisher, Banded kingfisher, White-crowned hornbill, Red-crowned barbet, Red-throated barbet, Gold-whiskered barbet, Rufous piculet, Buff-necked woodpecker, Maroon woodpecker, Black-&-yellow broadbill, Banded broadbill, Green broadbill, Scarlet minivet, Asian fairy bluebird, Blue-winged leafbird, Scaly-breasted bulbul, Grey-bellied bulbul, Chestnut-naped forktail, Rufous-crowned babbler, Scaly-crowned babbler, Grey-headed babbler, Brown fulvetta, Large-billed blue-flycatcher, Spotted fantail, Asian paradise flycatcher, Grey-breasted jungle-flycatcher, Mangrove whistle, Scarlet-breasted flowerpecker, Crimson sunbird, Grey-breasted spiderhunter, Bronzed drongo, Crested jay & etc. After tour, transfer back to Hotel.

Camera, Binoculars, Flat shoes with good gripping-soles, Insect repellent, raincoat, own drinking bottle & first aid kit.

WILDLIFE SIGHTINGS:
With any tour involving wildlife there is no guarantee for sighting, although each trip is designed around known habitats. The guides will do their utmost to ensure a sighting, but cannot be held responsible if there is no success, because of weather circumstances, the wildlife itself or any other element beyond our control.

BEL-AIR TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel all or parts of the tour due to factors outside of our control. We will not normally do so unless forced to do so by unforeseen circumstances such adverse weather conditions, poor or unsafe road conditions, or ‘force majeure’.
If a tour is cancelled due to factors outside our control you can reschedule the tour to a later date. Alternatively, you can request a refund.
Any third party charges, admin fees and other costs will be deducted from the tour cost to derive a refund amount.
